New year, new rules. Basically three rules are worth mentioning but they only affect some professionals and a small amount of amateur golfers, so worry not your weekend game won’t be changing. First is driver length shortened, second is the greens-books makeover and third will be the rules regarding amateur status. These rule changes are officially live on Jan. 1, 2022 as announced by the USGA and R&A.
