Mayakoba Classic: Scottie Scheffler off to a hot start with an opening round 65

Seems like Scottie Scheffler want to reclaim that #1 spot he held recently, and with his sizzling opening round at the World Wide Technology Championship in Mayakoba, he might just do. Scheffler carded a bogey-free 6-under 65, his lowest opening round score to par on Tour this year, at the El Camaleón Golf Course and three strokes off the lead set by Will Gordon. Meanwhile, 2-time defending champion Viktor Hovland started slow with two birdies and two bogeys on his first nine holes, also with a 65.
