The Chilean team of Joaquin Niemann and Mito Pereira withdrew from the two-man team event prior to the start of the second round at TPC Louisiana. It was a back injury on Pereira that led to their withdrawal from the field, after both of them opened with a best ball score of 5-under 67 in the opening round. Pereira was making his 17th start of the season and had made 5 cuts in his last 6 starts. while Niemann won the Genesis Invitational in February.
