The newly improved Pinehurst No. 8 is done with its extensive agronomic and infrastructure enhancements this summer and is set for re-opening. The resort’s famed Pinehurst No. 2 course is the top-ranked public-access layout in North Carolina, while the No. 8 is currently ranked at 7th in public-access layout. The new enhancements include TifEagle greens, restored bunkers with fresh sand, improved drainage throughout the course and the removal of invasive trees that blocked sunlight and views. There’s plenty more work being done at the resort including an upgrade to the Ryder Cup Terrace.
