A close one indeed for Steve Stricker, and he was able to hang on to win the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship in Firestone Country Club. Stricker was in a bit of a struggle during the first 4 holes but luckily he was able to mount a comeback entering the final round with an 8-stroke lead. He nailed  on the last 5 holes and finished with a total of 273, winning by 6 strokes over last year's winner Jerry Kelly.
