Si Woo Kim had a walk-off-hole at the 18th after finishing the opening round at 8-under, sharing the lead with JJ Spaun at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship. Spaun came off the course at 8 under after making birdie on two of his last three holes. Kim carded a 28 on #s 10-18, the lowest nine-hole score of his career after using an 8-iron on the shot that drew thousands of video views on social media. Spaun also closed strong, birdieing #16 and 18, which perfectly encapsulated his strong round.
