Hideki Matsuyama scores 1st major championship; wins the 2021 Masters in Augusta

History has been made as Japanese pro golfer Hideki Matsuyama took the win at the 2021 Masters Tournament. Matsuyama, the first Japanese and Asian-born player to win the tournament, posted a total of 10-under 278 (final round 73) to secure the 1-stroke victory over rising pro Will Zalatoris. Afterwards, Matsuyama's caddie took a bow at the 18th fairway as a sign of Japanese respect.
